Radio Active - JGI's Community Radio Station
The Jain Group of Institution’s- Community Radio Station- Radio Active CR 90.4 MHz is a community radio station which reaches out to Bangalore’s masses on issues concerning health, environment, development, scientific awareness, women, social issues etc, in turn seeking to inform, educate, while entertaining the public.
JGI's Community Radio Station- Radio Active CR 90.4 MHz, in association with The Golden Husk launched a 5 year long( 2010-15) community based environment restoration project called Spotless Bangalore on 10th February 2010 .
The project is designed to sensitize students, individuals, and develop a whole community approach to waste management. It is important for individuals to comprehend and realize the complexity of the world they live and make informed decisions and participate in the process of environmental conservation.
The project will provide information and learning activities on solid waste management, encourage schools and colleges and resident welfare associations to be conscious about waste, improve systems to reduce waste which will in turn enable students to take up mini projects on waste management.
The project will include film screenings, display of products made from waste, exhibitions, working model of the solid waste management, composting methodology etc
Full Circle 
Full Circle, established in 2009 by Anjana Iyer, Anil Derick, Dr.Radhika Rao and Chethan Karanth focuses on solid waste management, ecological sanitation and water conservation. Presently, Full Circle concentrates on setting up zero waste management systems for institutions, individual homes and apartments in North Bangalore. A campaign run by The Anonymous Indian Trust, which helps kids, who wish to create awareness among grown ups, that waste has an impact on their future well being

An initiative of the Rotary Club that thrives to train the housekeeping staff not only to segregate waste but also selling it and using the money for their own betterment
Saahas - www.saahas.org
Saahas is a Bangalore based voluntary organisation committed to finding solutions to solid waste management in the city. Saahas works toward:
- Implementation of the Solid Waste Management and Handling Rules
- Introducing regulation in the use and disposal of plastic and other household hazardous waste like batteries, light bulbs and electronic waste
- Encouraging the composting of organic waste at the local level
- Strengthening the recycling industry
Saahas is actively partnering with Anonymous Indian in the Clean Bengaluru drive, by educating citizens about segregation and recycling. All garbage collected in the clean up drive organised as part of the campaign 'Reclaim Bengluru –It's Yours' on September 20th will be sorted, segregated and recycled by Saahas.
Green Commandos
Green Commandos is a project of the Bangalore based NGO Youth For Seva. The mission of Youth For Seva is to inspire youth to volunteer, connect them to the grass roots projects, and provide ongoing support and training to the volunteers and the NGOs. YFS gets its volunteers involved in environment related projects through Green Commandos.
